Hagit Ben Ami actress Sculptress
Hagit Ben-Ami was born and raised in Tel-Aviv, Israel. The daughter of deceased Nahman Ben-Ami (journalist and theater critic for Israel’s popular daily “Maariv”) not surprisingly her first career choice was in the theater. She graduated in Theater studies from the Tel–Aviv University and continued her training in Beit-Zvi School of Performing Arts. Over the years she played a wide range of roles in numerous theater productions, including: In Beit Lessin theatre - Dreams of the Last Season, the Heiress, Altalena, Chinese I’m Talking to You, A Shadow of a Woman; the Cameri theatre - Yentel, Broken Glass; in Be’er-Sheva Theatre – Mephisto, Three Sisters, Sweatshop; in Haifa Theatre - The Women of Troy, Messiah and in the Tzavta Fringe Stage - Piaf in a TV drama series on the Israeli Channel 2, and on several other commercial TV projects. (Hagit) Ben-Ami is also a graduate of Drama and Art Therapy from Beit-Berl Academy, with a BA in Non-Formal Education. She started her sculpting career in private studios where she trained for 8 years, specializing in free sculpting and wheel pottery. Lately she had a solo exhibition in central gallery in Tel-Aviv. Her works have been invited to present in three solo exhibitions and more.
